The ostrich industry is expanding, resulting in the interaction between poultry and ostrich. It is reported that the investigation of iss and bor virulence genes together, due to their structural and functional similarities, is valuable. Objectives: The investigation and comparison of presence of two genes involved in serum resistance, iss and bor, in E. coli isolated from apparently healthy ostriches and poultry with colibacillosis. Methods: As a cross-sectional study, E. coli was recovered from fecal samples of apparently healthy ostriches and poultry with colibacillosis, and iss and bor genes were screened and compared via PCR in E. coli isolates. Results: iss frequencies, with no statistical difference, were 50% and 64.4% in E. coli isolated from apparently healthy ostriches and poultry with colibacillosis, respectively (P>0.05). 31.8% and 15.6% of E. coli isolated from apparently healthy ostriches and poultry with colibacillosis were positive for bor, respectively, with no statistical difference (P>0.05). 11.1% of isolates from colibacillosis and 18.2% of isolates from apparently healthy ostriches feces, with no statistical difference, were positive for both genes (P>0.05). Conclusions: Equal statistical distribution of both genes, bor and iss, between apparently healthy ostriches and poultry with colibacillosis and the health level of studied ostriches indicated that E. coli isolated from ostrich, probably employs other virulence factors instead of bor and iss to establish a disease. This hypothesis needs to examine more virulence genes in ostrich-origin E. coli. In addition, the ostrich feces could be introduced as a source of iss and bor genes.}, keywords = {bor,Colibacillosis,Escherichia coli,iss,Ostrich}, title_fa = {بررسی حضور و مقایسه فراوانی iss و bor، به عنوان دو ژن مؤثر در مقاومت سرمی، در اشریشیاکلی جداشده از شترمرغ های به ظاهر سالم با اشریشیاکلی جداشده از طیور مبتلا به کلی باسیلوز}, abstract_fa = {  زمینه مطالعه: مکانیسم پاتوژنز و نقش فاکتورهای حدت اشریشیاکلی بیماریزای طیور هنوز مبهم است. همان‌طور که صنعت تکثیر و پرورش شتر‌مرغ رو به رشد است، ارتباط بین شترمرغ و طیور اهلی نیز احتمالاًً رو به افزایش می‌باشد. گزارشاتی وجود دارد مفید بودن مطالعه همزمان دو ژن حدت iss و bor به علت شباهت ساختمانی و عملکردی آن‌ها را در اشریشیاکلی نشان داده است. هدف: بررسی حضور و مقایسه فراوانی دو ژن مؤثر در مقاومت سرمی در اشریشیا‌کلی جدا‌شده از شترمرغ‌های به‌ظاهر سالم  با اشریشیا‌کلی جدا‌شده از مدفوع طیور مبتلا به کلی‌باسیلوز. روش کار: مطالعه مقطعی-توصیفی است. حضور ژن‌های iss و bor توسط PCR در اشریشیا‌کلی جدا شده از نمونه مدفوع شتر‌مرغ‌های به‌ظاهر سالم و مدفوع طیور مبتلا به کلی باسیلوز بررسی و مقایسه شد. نتـایـج: فراوانی ژن iss در اشریشیا‌کلی جدا‌شده از مدفوع شتر‌مرغ‌های به ظاهر سالم (50درصد)، بدون تفاوت معنی‌دار، کمتر از طیور مبتلا به کلی‌باسیلوز (4/64درصد) بود (0.05>P). فراوانی ژن bor، بدون تفاوت معنی‌دار، در اشریشیاکلی جدا‌شده از مدفوع شتر‌مرغ‌های به ظاهر سالم (8/31درصد) بیشتر از طیور مبتلا به کلی‌باسیلوز (6/15درصد) مشاهده گردید (0.05>P). فراوانی جدایه‌های اشریشیاکلی حاوی هر دو ژن در مدفوع شتر‌مرغ و طیور مبتلا به کلی‌باسیلوز، بدون تفاوت معنی‌دار،  به ترتیب 2/18درصد و 1/11درصد حاصل شد (0.05>P). نتیجـه‌گیـری نهایی: توزیع آماری دو ژن iss و bor در مدفوع شترمرغ‌های به‌ظاهر سالم و طیور مبتلا به کلی-باسیلوز یکسان بوده و با توجه به سالم بودن شترمرغ‌های مورد مطالعه، احتمالاًً مکانیزم‌های بیماریزایی باکتری در شترمرغ با طیور متفاوت و این جدایه‌ها، عواملی، غیر از ژن‌های مورد مطالعه در تحقیق حاضر را برای ایجاد بیماری در شترمرغ به کار می‌گیرند که این مطلب نیاز به بررسی ژن‌های حدت بیشتری در این جدایه‌ها دارد. به‌علاوه، می‌توان مدفوع شتر‌مرغ را به عنوان منبعی برای جابجایی ژن iss و bor بین طیور در نظر گرفت.  }, keywords_fa = {اشریشیاکلی,iss,bor,شترمرغ,کلی باسیلوز}, url = {https://jvr.ut.ac.ir/article_70268.html}, eprint = {https://jvr.ut.ac.ir/article_70268_6b4c339a9f523662b81a8fcf305979da.pdf} }
