The camel is an important host of Echinococcusgranulosus. In this study of 401 camel carcases, 26.7% were affected with hydatid cyst. Infection rate had a direct relationship with age, lung was the predominant site of the Hydatid cyst (52.7%), the Liver(6/5%) and other organs being less frequently infected. Fertility rate of hydatid cyst and viability rate of protoscolecses were 79.1% and 60.5% respectively. The fertility rate of lung cyst was higher than that of liver cyst.
