Examination were carried on 70 appearently healthy Iranian breeds of sheep (Ghezel, Mehraban and Cross bred) of both sexes between 1 to 4 years of age.
Bone marrow samples were collected Via Biopsy needle from sternum and head of the femur to determim_ the normal pattern of myelogram. The results indicated that biopsy obtained from the stermum was comparatively better than femura! head biopsy. The erythroid series of the bone marrow (55.20:t 3.09) in relation to myeloid series (44.80:t 1.52) were higher, but decreased by increasing with age (p0.05).
