Abstract

In this survey by using a thin layer chromatographic bioautographic method (TLCB) with parallel evaluation of standards curvs of a total of 19 antibiotice have been presented for identification of antibiotics. The sensitivity of methods and the amount of drugs were deter minded by measuring the amount of Minimum Detectable Limit Concentrations (MDCS) (pg/mi), the zone size (Z) and Rate of Flow for each antibiotics (Rf). A small block agar from the clear zone of the MDGs areas relate to Swab Test On Premises (STOP) method were taken and put on the siicagel plates. After being well dride, the plates were developed in graded concentrations of CLNH4. The RF values and MDCS in thi. procedure were measured. The test organism was Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6633, the antibiotic medium 5(AM5) assay medium was used in dowble layer. The results showed that MDC5 were lower or the sizes of inhibition zones became larger in the STOP method. For example in penicillin 0 (PCG), the MDCS and zones (Z) were respectively 0.025 (pg/mi) and 13.6cm in STOP analysis and 25 (pg/mi) 25cm for TLCB experiment. The usage of a TLCB of agar blocks gained from STOP method in satisfactory.
